Don't you mis Indonesia a lot? I can imagine you miss it because of the suikerfeest over there. But that won't be the only thing you miss about indo I guess... Once you get used to have a cat living at your place it must be very tough not to get stressed by school and other things because there's no cat anymore that can make you feel relaxed.

anyway, I can comfort you a bit by saying you're not the only one with a sucking weekend. This weekend I started on replacing my car-wheels for new ones. I started on the first wheel, removed it and replaced it with the other. But when I lowered the jack I noticed the tire was flat. I walked back home to get a pump, but I felt this pain coming up while walking, so I sat down a bit at home and then limped back to my car to replace the new wheel for the old one, so in other words nothing had changed but my foot hurts
The rest of the sunday I tried not to think of the pain, but it was killing me. I couldn't sit in one position longer then 10 seconds most, because of the hurting even on medication. Also that night I couldn't sleep, not even 1 second. Monday I called the hospital, but they send me from here to there and I was getting nowhere. Then I called my doctor and he subscribed me a painkiller and I got crouches.
I can sleep now, but it still hurts. 1 month to go 'till that surgery

to 'jump' with your skateboard 'sticking' to your feet is called an ollie. You kick the tail of the board (tail = back, just like on the snowboard). When you kick the back it will hit the ground and the board will pop up. if the board pops up you lift it with your frontfoot by shoving it up (that's why most skaters have shoes with holes in them, because they shove their feet to the board when ollieing or doing other tricks and the shoe shoves over the griptape that's on top of the board).

I believe skateboarding is harder to learn indeed, but a con on snowboarding is that we have no snow and mountains in Holland. You have to pay big money to be able to snowboard, skateboarding is easier to do wherever you want.

Ik wordt dus 18 februari geopereerd. Ze doen een kijkoperatie en daarvoor krijg ik een ruggeprik. Dat is een prik tussen mijn ruggewervels, waardoor mijn onderste helft verlamd raakt. Ze waarschuwden me al dat ik wel eens een warme plas in mijn bed kon vinden na de prik; dat betekend dus dat ik mijn blaas ontspande
Ik moet ook ontharingscreme kopen; apen zijn niet welkom in het ziekenhuis. Vooral niet op de operatietafel.
Ze maken twee kleine sneetjes in mijn enkel en gaan er eerst met een kijker in en een paar instrumentjes om de splniters eruit te halen. Ik moet de dag van de operatie nog in het ziekenhuis blijven, maar 's avonds mag ik weer weg. Ik krijg verband om mijn enkel en de sneetjes (van een centimeter) worden niet gehecht, omdat het vocht er dan beter uit kan.
Ik verwacht dat ik dan in een paar weken weer kan skaten

I wont give a party or so. I'll save my money untill I get my diploma and give an extra big party at that time. That's something to look forward to.

How I'm doing? I'm fine. I'm teaching kids the skate-basics again. Funny is that both me and Wouter (we teach together) are hindered to skate for now. He has to rest for at least 1,5 month for his knee and I'm still goofing with my ankle. How ironic: two people that can't skate telling the kids what to do.
But the surgery is getting closer and closer. This is good, but I'm getting a little bit nervous too

Oh, tomorrow I'm buying a suit haha, never had one before. It's a revolution for me to go there and buy a suit

Hi, how was your weekend?

I got my suit!

It was cool. I went there with my brother and mom. My brother and mom were talking with this lady from the store and I already grabbed a suit and fitted myself in it. The jacket was alright, but the trousers were way to wide for my skinny ass so I used my camouflage-print belt to hold it up. I walk out the changing room and show the suit. The lady rushes to me. The jacket was alright, but the trousers were far too big! She was looking if she might be able to fix that and then saw my belt I swear you should've seen here expression (like this: ), it was like you could hear her sense of fashion get torn into bits
Well, I ended up buying a suit with a shirt, tie and a pair of shoes: 350 (just about)
Oh well, it's a one time-thing. I will only wear it once/twice a year I suppose

And then got back to the party (well and almost got in a fight, but details ) The party was great and I don't know what time it ended.. 06:00 or 07:00?? but we slept in my car and when we woke up we walked through the city and bought a lot of junk from the market
Then we went back to the car, got two foldingchairs from the back of my car and a bottle of wine and sat at 'de doelen' in front of that little fountain-thingy. We also sat in the middle of it for a while without getting wet . Then a bunch of breakdancers started a show and we moved our chairs there and watched. It was a real cool day.
That evening (read: night) we got back in Arnhem again and some friends of Christian (the German) came over from Berlin. They were shocked about the party going on in town. They didn't know about queensday We partied in the city a bit and then went to my place. One guy tried to get some sleep and the rest of us sat on the balcony talking...drinking... Then it was 06:00 and I promissed to help at a party at 08:00 that same morning, so I had a quick sleep and left to help building and shopping for a party.
There was a 5th anniversary of Brainwash skateshop and I was there for music and there was a miniramp in front of the shop. They also wrote me in for the miniramp contest and I won it
After the festivity at the shop there was a party at Rollywood skatepark (small skatepark in Anrhem). I mixed some records at the park and also skated. It was real cool. After the party I didn't want to drive home, because I drank some beer, so I walked home with two guys that needed a place to sleep. When we were almost home one of the guys asked me if I had the housekeys. I joked they were still in my car and checked my pocket..... they were So we had to walk all the way back to the car. Then I was sober again _{(I didn't drink that much, but didn't like driving at first when we left the party)} and I drove home. Sunday we chilled in the city the shops were open and then we went to the movie; Starsky & Hutch. Cool movie.

I was in Rotterdam yesterday. I skated in Skateland, an indoor skatepark near 'de Kuip'.
I was there with a friend of mine, who I promised to go there long time ago. We had teh park for ourselves, there where about 5 other skateboarders at the park. But it was too warm to keep your concentration, so I only did a few good tricks and then just cruised around...

wow, it's sure been a while... I'm ok. This weekend there was the skateboard worldcup in Dortmund. I went there with two friends; we rent a car (because mine only has two seats). We got there fridaynight and stayed 'till sunday-evening. It was way cool. We slept at the headquarters of a German skateboardmagazin; Boardstein. I was with a German friend of mine and he arranged we could stay there. It was easy for making friends. There were lots of skaters there from all around the globe. I even met this girl I once taught how to drop in a miniramp (go from the top of a skate-pipe). When we met she lived in Münster, Which is near the border between Holland and Germany, but she moved to Austria and picked up snowboarding instead. She was a photographer for a magazin and she also was a model in the magazin showing off some clothes.
It's funny how you meet so many old friends there.
I even managed to be at the pro-course at the finals (I wasn't skating).
We'll meet some of the guys in Holland again in a short time.
It was only for a weekend, but it feels like a holiday. Sweet.

How about you? How are you doing? Are you having a vacation right now? Are you going somewhere, Indonesia maybe?

gue sudah kembali dari Indonesia!! Dan memang sudah lihat Jakarta. Baik sekali!! Sekarang bahasa ku lebih bagus. Lebih benyak, kan? ku pieker benar ghehe. Aku sudah belajar banyak kata-kata tetapi aku harus masih banyak belajar. Lu sudah ada vakantie kan? Tahun depan aku bisa becara bagus bahasa, memang kan dong!

Lol saya belajar slang dari anak-anak di jakarta. Sudah ada banyak teman-teman ku! Bagainmana tulis ini ( gué = aku , lo = kau DONG) whehe . kan?? aku benar, tentunya.

Aku suka Jakarta banyak sekali, tetapi ramaiiii. pusing! Belum bikin fotoreport, harus bikin satu.

Yeah real busy here too. I had holidays and didn't really go anywhere but the worldcup skateboarding (Dortmund). It was one weekend but I really felt like I had a holiday. I even got to skate the course. No tricks, because of the foot, but it's nice to know you skated it.

My ankle isn't any good. I went to the hospital again and they showed me my 'kraakbeen' was worn like the ones of an old grandpa. Kraakbeen doesn't grow back, so basically it's over for me. Maybe a specialist can mean something for me. I'll here so end of next month. This time you pray for me ok?
